A couple of weeks ago at church, we were having a discussion about books, and two of my whip smart friends, Meg Conley and Hannah Pritchett, mentioned that when they were young, their parents gave them a bedtime rule: You can stay up as late as you’d like — as long as you’re reading. Both of these women are prolific readers, going through pretty epics stacks of .   Praying Upside Down. By Kelly O’Dell Stanley. This is a new book, just out this year, but I love the creative way that Kelly approaches prayer. This isn’t a “dip-in” kind of book, but you can definitely read one chapter at a time, and each one has unique, beautiful exercises to get you approaching prayer in different ways.

This was my favorite book while growing up, and I spent hours reading and rereading the story of amateur boxer Alfred Brooks and his life experiences at Donatelli’s Gym in s Harlem. “The Author: Seattle Times Staff.   Now you know! I'm quite overwhelmed at the response to my simple reaction, I said it in a reply early on but I think part of my strong feeling was that this is a book that just made me so glad to be a reader.

Of this book he says, "People often ask authors where their ideas come from, and often authors say they don't know. But I do know about this one. Once upon a time, my wife and I had three small children — two boys and a girl, just like in the story. And when they were young, we used to tell them a story very like You're All My Favorites." Sam /5().

Celebrate your little one with this sweet and colorful rhyming board book series. Each title in the series has chunky pages for little hands and die-cut characters to add depth and interest.

With a story for all of your favorite holidays, your little cuddle bug or honey bunny will love the interactive features alongside the adorable story/5(22). In the story of You're All My Favorites, there are three cubs and a mommy and daddy bear.

Each of the three cubs is different in some way, one is the smallest, one has no spots, and one is a girl. Each of the three cubs begins to worry if they really are their parents favorites, even if they might be the smallest cub, or not have spots like the /5.

I have many favorite books like the House Of Night series by the Casts, or the classic Dracula by Bram Stroker. But my favorite book of all time that i can connect with is Shooter by Walter Dean Meyers is my favorite. Books that can get to you emotionally, or something you can connect with, truly become a part of you.

You're my favourite book All the things you say, the way you shift your eyes I never knew there was someone, to make me come alive When the days are long, and the thunder with the storm, can always get me crying You can make my bed, I'll fall into it, shattered but not lonely Because I never Youre My Favorite Reader book a home, until I found your hands, when I'm weathered.

What's your favorite eReader, and why is it your favorite. This was my first time reading it. I knew after the first chapter that I was in love with this book. Never been a big reader of fantasy the most I’ve dabbled in is The Dark Tower series. Felt reading The Hobbit was the obvious start for getting into the genre.

Rescript the Story You're Telling Yourself by Colleen Georges is a wonderful, detailed guide, a definitive Bible for anyone wishing to understand the working of the human mind, so they realize why they act in a certain way. This book answers so many questions about human behavior and the way we are derailing any form of positive action.

This review of You’re My Favorite Reader by Chris Federico was written in for the website Infinity Plus. iUniverse,£, pp, ISBN If you appreciate the title You’re My Favorite Reader then you’ll almost certainly enjoy the rest of the book, since it exactly captures the spirit of New Mexican Chris Federico’s.

My criteria is to only include books that I remember well enough that I still bring them up in conversation. That means they really had an impact. My favorite book of all time is Once a Runner.

It's about running, obviously, but it also reminds me. My favorite is Richard Ford’s three volume Handbook to Spain which I got in Hay. I used to live and work in Madrid for a while (my wife is.

A favorite book is like a treasured friend: It entertains you, it offers you guidance, it touches you, it’s there when you need it. Thirty-one authors share the books they hold dear.

"You're my favorite everything" is a phrase author J. Allen has said to her children and grandchildren every day. After years of using endearing quips to find different ways to express her love, she wanted to share her words with parents.

She encourages verbalization of emotions to loved ones with sweet phrases and kind :   My favorite book is Pillars of the Earth, by Ken Follett. It was made into an okay mini-series. In fact, I’d optioned it shortly after it came out and tried to make it myself but it was during a dormant period for mini-series when they were ONLY making 4-hour mini’s and Pillars needed at least 8.

I was thinking about that as I wrapped reading this book. I think the missing link in many of the books I have read recently is the authors don't know how to put a story together where it will keep the reader engrossed. Anyway, You're My Kind is one of those books where it tells a story/5.

My favorite place to read is in bed at night with a good book and my dog Chloe curled up beside me. Kathy F. I will read just about anywhere, but my favorite place is a quiet room upstairs in an old recliner beside windows that overlook a peaceful creek.

Santa Clarita - Well, I have a lot of favorite books but my favorite is “Junie B. Jones.” It is really a series but if you want, you can call it a book. The author’s name is Barbara Park. She is a great author. I like those books because they are very funny.

They make me want to laugh so hard. They also make me remember when I was young like that. I mostly like them because they are. “Hands down my favorite book of the year.” — Ann Patchett, New York Times bestselling author of The Dutch House andCommonwealth From the New York Times bestselling author of The Family Fang comes his first short story collection in nearly a decade, combining his signature quirkiness with his keen eye for emotional complexity to explore the fraught Brand: HarperCollins Publishers.

Everything about the book is beautifully written and in such a great style. Please, give this novel a chance and don't miss out. (An excerpt included below in my review to get you interested!) The FL is charming and endearing.

She reminds me of a puppy, super cute and scheming (in an entirely good way of course) when they want something. "You're my favorite everything" is a phrase author J. Allen has said to her children and grandchildren every day.

LONDON, U.K. — In a controversial Tweet this morning, Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling revealed that you, the reader, have been gay ever since the release of the best-selling children’s series. “When writing, I always envisioned the reader as gay,” Rowling wrote. “This has been the case since the first page of Philosopher’s Stone.

What this book does well: My favorite thing about this book is that it’s an extremely practical, hands-on guide but it’s also highly informative. It teaches you recognize type in various different ways – from actions to appearances to voice patterns to motivators.'Beep, beep, beep.' I moaned.

"Errg, what the fuck?" I looked up and saw my alarm, am. "Oh crap!" I jumped out of bed. "I'm late I'm late!" I yelled as I frantically put on my tight pants.

My sister Jess opened the door and began laughing hysterically. "April fools day mofo!" She screamed in my face.

"You better be glad mom isn't h.Unlike my other book, Nightmare and the Girl, I probably won’t be drawing the art for this book. Anyway this isn’t very important so let’s get on with the story!
